Admissions Team : Through CAP Rounds :-

The Office of Admissions is headed by Admissions Coordinator, with a team of dedicated assistants, in addition to departmental staff.

General Guidelines

Eligibility for admission :-

  • Graduate in any stream
  • Open Category students-Aggregate 50% marks
  • Reserved Category students- Aggregate 45% marks
  • DTE CET Exam pass/AMMI (CET) pass/CMAT exam
  • Candidates in their final year of graduation may also apply, provided they have appeared and cleared their C.E.T. Examination and applied through CAP, and would be eligible only after they have submitted their Final Year marklist to the College.
  • Having work experience is not a requirement for admission to the program, however candidates with work experience are welcome.
  • Entrance Test Score Submission for Masters Programs such as MBA. GIMS uses standardized management entrance test scores as a part of its overall selection process.Candidates are not selected/disqualified on the basis of their test scores only. The test score is just one part of an overall candidate profile.
  • The following test scores are generally accepted For CET: Nationally Competitive Exam scores are accepted on a selective basis, depending on the program applied for, such as the ATMA, MAT, CET, JMET and others.
  • Students must submit an attested copy of Test Score Card along with the application form. If test score card is not yet available, they should provide details of Test Registration Number, Test Centre Code, etc.

Purchasing an Application Form :Two Year Full-time Masters Program: MBA

  • There are several ways to purchase an Application Kit, depending on the program and location. Candidates may purchase an Application Kit by making a cash payment of Rs. 500/- [Rupees Five Hundred Only].
  • The student is provided with the Prospectus and application form which needs to be duly filled up by him/her and is requested to attach photocopies of all the mandatory documents required by the University to confirm the admission of the student. All the original certificates are also to be submitted to GIMS for verification purpose.

Application Procedure :

Candidates seeking admission to Masters level programs: The admission form should be duly filled out in its entirety and must be accompanied with the following supporting documents:

  • Attested Photocopies of all mark sheets (starting with standard X)
  • Attested Photocopies of CET admit cards
  • Attested photocopy of your Test Score Card. (if test score card not yet received give details of Test Registration Number, Test Centre Code, etc.)
  • Photocopies of Proof of Work Experience, if any.
  • Photocopies of certificates, awards and prizes received in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Admissions Team: Institute Level

The Admissions Committee for Masters program consists of the Chairman of Admissions Committee and the individual Directors of each School/Department.

The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:

  • Past academic performance.
  • Quality & content of the answers in the application form.
  • Work experience, if any, in terms of job content & organization.
  • Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments.
  • Competitive Test score.

A combination of all the above factors is used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection in GIMS.
